“German Chancellor Scholz to Visit Nigeria in October”

After the conclusion of the G-20 summit, President Bola Tinubu engaged in bilateral talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who expressed interest in visiting Nigeria in October. The leaders discussed expanding economic ties and cooperation between their countries.

During the meeting, Chancellor Scholz expressed his desire to visit Nigeria in October to advance their initiatives and strengthen bilateral relations. President Tinubu welcomed this proposal and emphasized the importance of aligning the perspectives of large-scale German manufacturers with Nigeria’s new incentives for economic growth and investment.

President Tinubu also had discussions with South Korean President Yeol and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These discussions focused on enhancing economic partnerships and cooperation in various sectors, including technology, energy, agriculture, and financial technology (FinTech).

President Tinubu proposed opportunities for South Korean companies to participate in Nigeria’s local manufacturing sector, emphasizing the importance of executing agreements effectively. He invited President Yeol to visit Nigeria and explore new incentives for local industry.

In his conversation with Prime Minister Modi, President Tinubu highlighted the potential for cooperation in agricultural development, defense industry capacity building, and FinTech growth. Both leaders expressed their commitment to advancing these areas of collaboration.

President Tinubu also engaged with other global leaders, including U.S. President Joe Biden, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and World Bank President Ajay Banga.

These discussions aimed to strengthen economic ties, promote investment, and explore opportunities for mutual growth and cooperation between Nigeria and other countries. President Tinubu’s proactive approach to economic diplomacy seeks to harness international partnerships for Nigeria’s development and prosperity.
