In a recent interview with Hip Hop artist Odumodublck on the Turntable podcast, Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, shared insights into his initial success and how he chose to spend his first music earnings.

Following the release of his hit track ‘Elon Musk,’ Shallipopi opened up about his unconventional spending choice. Instead of opting for the typical luxuries associated with newfound fame, the budding Nigerian musician revealed that he used his earnings to indulge in encounters with sex workers, locally known as “oscroh” or “oloshos.”
When prompted by Odumodublck about his first significant purchase after the success of ‘Elon Musk,’ Shallipopi humorously responded, “I chop am na, normal. I no buy chow. I use am order oscroh [sex workers].”
Despite facing online trolling during the early stages of his music career, Shallipopi expressed resilience, advising fellow artists to focus on their craft and ignore naysayers.
