IBB Reaffirms Commitment to Nigeria’s Unity Ahead of 2027

Former military leader Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) has restated his unwavering belief in Nigeria’s unity as political groups gear up for the 2027 elections. Hosting members of The Nigerian Project in Minna, he emphasized that national progress depends on a united front, urging citizens to remain loyal and actively engage in governance.

Babangida highlighted the need for inclusive leadership, where every Nigerian can voice their concerns and contribute to policy decisions. He encouraged political stakeholders to prioritize national interest over divisions, reinforcing his stance on an indivisible Nigeria.

Meanwhile, PDP elder Bode George has criticized party leaders Nyesom Wike and Atiku Abubakar, accusing them of political missteps that have deepened internal conflicts. Speaking on Arise TV, he called for urgent reconciliation within the party, dismissing claims that external forces were responsible for its crisis.
