Director Moses Inwang has suggested a potential change in premiere plans for the highly anticipated romantic comedy movie, “Dead Serious.” Originally scheduled for a nationwide cinema debut on February 9, 2024, Inwang’s recent Instagram post hints at a shift towards a Showmax release.

In his Instagram post on Sunday, February 4, 2024, Inwang shared a photo with actor Mr Funny, indicating that promotional videos were being made for the upcoming film’s release. The official trailer for “Dead Serious,” released on January 22, 2024, provided a sneak peek into the comical love story between Sharon Ooja and Sabinus. The plot involves Ooja’s character’s father, played by Nkem Owoh, disapproving of Sabinus due to financial considerations. Additional complications arise when Ooja’s father’s wealthy and youthful boss, portrayed by Deyemi Okanlawon, expresses interest in her.
The movie features a stellar cast, including Warri Girl, Lillian Afegbai, Funky Mallam, Emem Inwang, and Ryonne Razaq. While the release date for the Showmax debut is yet to be announced, fans are eagerly awaiting more details about the film’s premiere plans.
