Jandor, Lagos PDP Governorship Candidate, Appeals Tribunal Judgment

AbdulAzeez Adeniran, popularly known as Jandor, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, has lodged an appeal against the judgment of the election petitions tribunal that upheld the election of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a 34-ground notice of appeal filed on Friday, Jandor expressed his dissatisfaction with the “miscarriage of laws” he believes characterized the tribunal’s judgment. He has called on the Court of Appeal to set aside the tribunal’s ruling.

One of the key points raised in the appeal is the alleged error in law and conclusion made by the tribunal when dismissing his petition, which aimed to challenge the qualifications of Sanwo-Olu and his running mate, Obafemi Hamzat, as the winners of the March 18 governorship election in Lagos State.

This appeal marks a significant development in the legal battle over the Lagos State governorship election, as Jandor seeks to contest the election results and the qualifications of the APC candidates.
