Veteran actor Jide Kosoko has stated that sexual exploitation in Nollywood is not forced but happens when some actresses are desperate for roles. He made this claim during a recent appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast.
Kosoko dismissed the idea that directors and producers always impose sex-for-roles, saying no one can be forced into such exchanges. He added that some women enter the industry intending to use such means to gain fame.
The actor also revealed that he knows some popular actresses who deliberately pursued relationships to boost their careers. While he admitted such propositions exist, he maintained that those who accept them do so willingly.
