Former Abia State governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, has expressed support for President Bola Tinubu’s bold economic measures, urging Nigerians to remain patient as the government tackles the country’s economic challenges. Kalu shared these remarks during a New Year visit to APC Chairman Stanley Okoro-Emegha in Ebonyi State.
Acknowledging the current hardships faced by citizens, Kalu noted that Tinubu’s decisions are aimed at resetting the economy for long-term growth. He admitted that he might not have been bold enough to make similar moves if he were president but assured Nigerians that brighter days lie ahead, calling for collective understanding during this transitional period.
Kalu’s visit to Ebonyi was described as an annual tradition to strengthen ties with Okoro-Emegha, whom he regards as a political protégé. The state APC chairman expressed gratitude for Kalu’s visit, emphasizing the enduring bond between them.
