Katsina, Nigeria, October 18, 2023 – In a heart-wrenching incident, the Senior Special Assistant on Islamic Education to the Governor of Katsina State, Shamsudeen Malumfashi, lost his life in a tragic road crash. The accident took place on Tuesday in the Rigachikun area of the state.
Following the accident, Mr. Malumfashi was laid to rest in his hometown on the same day. The funeral prayer and interment of the deceased were attended by various dignitaries, including Aminu Ibrahim, a member representing Malumfashi Constituency in the Katsina State House of Assembly, as well as the Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning, Bello Kagara, and some of his personal aides.
Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda led a team of sympathizers during his visit to the late aide’s family. He offered prayers for the repose of Shamsudeen Malumfashi’s soul and beseeched God to watch over his grieving family.
Shamsudeen Malumfashi is survived by his father, Abubakar Yusuf; his mother, Jamila; three wives; and four children. This tragic loss has cast a pall of sadness over Katsina State, and the community mourns the passing of an individual dedicated to Islamic education and community service.
