Kenneth Petty, husband of renowned American rapper Nicki Minaj, has received a 120-day house arrest sentence due to a probation violation. This violation occurred when he posted threatening videos online, seemingly targeting Offset, a fellow rapper and Cardi B’s husband.
The court order, filed on September 19 in the Central District of California, mandated that Petty be placed under home monitoring. The basis for this action was his involvement in “threatening remarks to a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record,” as captured in video clips.

The individual mentioned in the court order is Offset, and the videos in question contain a series of threatening messages directed at the rapper, which surfaced on social media on September 16.
In one viral video from September 16, Petty and his associates are seen outside a New York City hotel where Offset was reportedly staying. Among the various menacing statements made, Petty is heard saying, “Plan that vacation, you gonna be planning your funeral, p*ssy!”
Offset’s response to the situation was dismissive, as he mentioned that he was arriving on a private jet and implied that Petty was financially struggling.
It’s worth noting that Petty was sentenced to three years of probation in July 2022 after pleading guilty to a failure to register as a sex offender in California in 2020. In 1995, he was convicted of first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl and served four years in a New York prison.
