Renowned Nigerian singer, Korede Bello, has expressed the difficulties of preserving one’s mental well-being in the entertainment industry, especially when opting for a clean lifestyle. In a recent post on the X platform, he highlighted the challenges artists face. Korede emphasized the importance of supporting artists, both emotionally and mentally, during their journey.
He urged people to contribute positively, even if it’s through kind words, as it can significantly impact an artist’s well-being. This reflection comes amidst the discussions and questions surrounding the sudden and controversial passing of the promising singer, Mohbad. The police have taken steps to conduct an autopsy as part of their investigation into the circumstances of Mohbad’s demise.
“People don’t understand how hard it is to stay sane in a seemingly crazy industry. It’s even harder when you choose to stay clean. So if you want to help an artiste stay alive, contribute to their mental health, support them while they’re still here with whatever you have, even if all you have are your kind words. You may not love their art, but you can choose to love the soul of the artist in the human being,” he wrote.
