The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has refuted rumors surrounding the alleged suspension of former Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
In a recent communique following the State Working Committee (SWC) meeting in Ilorin, the party clarified that reports of Saraki’s suspension are baseless and misleading.
The party emphasized that a certain group of individuals, with the intention to disrupt unity within the party, has been circulating these unfounded rumors.
Furthermore, the party explained that the enlarged meeting held on June 1, 2023, to assess the outcome of the 2023 general elections, has been misconstrued or misrepresented by disgruntled elements.
The official communique issued by the state party Chairman, Babatunde Mohammed, and the state Secretary, Abdulrazaq Lawal, urged party members and supporters to remain calm and disregard the fabricated suspension claims against Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
The party seeks the cooperation of its members and supporters in disregarding the rumored suspension of the former two-term governor of the state.
