Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has expressed his sorrow over the passing of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, the Senior Pastor of Fountain of Life Church.
Pastor Odukoya’s demise on August 7, 2023, in the United States of America was confirmed by his church through a social media post on Tuesday.
Taking to Twitter, Peter Obi described Pastor Odukoya as not just a man of God, but also a philanthropist who made a significant impact on society through his humanitarian initiatives in healthcare and education.
The former Governor of Anambra State extended his condolences to Pastor Odukoya’s family and The Fountain of Life Church Family, praying for strength in dealing with the irreplaceable loss.
Obi’s tweet read: “I am saddened by the death of Pastor Daniel Taiwo Odukoya, the Founding Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church. He was a man who not only preached the gospel of God but also impacted greatly on society through his humanitarian projects in the areas of health and education. May God, who called him home at this time, grant his family and The Fountain of Life Church Family the fortitude to bear his irreplaceable loss, and may God grant him eternal rest.”
