Lyta Seeks Return to YBNL Nation Under Olamide’s Wing

Nigerian singer Babatunde Rahim, professionally known as Lyta, expressed his desire to return to the YBNL Nation record label, owned by renowned rapper and record executive Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, also known as Olamide Baddo.

Lyta’s departure from YBNL Nation was previously discussed in a 2019 interview, where Olamide mentioned that Lyta had requested to leave the label after attracting interest from another record label. This decision stirred some controversy among music enthusiasts who questioned Olamide’s choice to let go of the upcoming rapper.

In a recent interview on the Ginger Yourself Podcast, Lyta clarified that his departure from YBNL was not intentional. He expressed his desire to return to the label, stating, “I want to be back with YBNL. What I did back then [leaving YBNL Nation] wasn’t intentional. I didn’t hear from Olamide before leaving, and after I left, he just locked up. But I’ve spoken to him since leaving. I chatted with him via Instagram on his birthday, and he responded.”

When asked if Olamide follows him on Instagram, Lyta mentioned, “No. He is not following anybody on Instagram.”

In a 2022 interview, Lyta explained that he left YBNL Nation due to hearing various things from friends and industry people. He admitted that he didn’t know who or what to believe, and some people eventually got into his head.
