San Antonio police report that a guy who was shot in the head during the course of what appeared to be an unintentional shooting overnight is in critical condition at the hospital.
The incident took place in the 500 block of Lanark Drive at approximately 12:45 in the morning, close to Krueger Middle School and Loop 410.
Five people got together, the police said, and while a man was tinkering with a gun, he shot himself in the head. After being transported by EMS to a nearby hospital, the man’s status was listed as critical as of the latest check.
The other four individuals, according to police, were split up and questioned by detectives. There were no possible charges mentioned by SAPD.
The call was answered by EMS, the San Antonio Fire Department, and the San Antonio Police Department.
According to authorities, the shooting investigation is still underway.
