Several people were thought dead and dozens injured after suspected herders sacked the Adijah hamlet in Ugbokpo, Apa Local Government Area, Benue State, on Thursday afternoon.
reporters have learned that the attackers attacked the community, which is located a few kilometers from the Otukpo-Oweto Road, and opened fire on residents, killing an unidentified number of people.
One community member told reporters that residents have evacuated to other communities.
