“Miyetti Allah Sets Up 55-Member Legal Team, Condemns Injustice to Kin”

Expressing concern over the incarceration of Fulani herdsmen in correctional centers across Nigeria, the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Fulani Socio-cultural Association has established a legal team of 55 members to secure the release of wrongly imprisoned herdsmen. During the association’s 2023 Annual General Meeting in Nasarawa State, President Alhaji Abdullahi Bodejo addressed the misconception that all Fulani herdsmen are involved in criminal activities. He emphasized that the legal team’s objective is to provide assistance to unjustly detained herdsmen.

Bodejo encouraged fellow Fulani community members to promote peace and harmony with other Nigerians to avoid unnecessary arrests by security agencies. He clarified that individuals who cause trouble and are apprehended will not receive legal aid from the association.

Hajiya Aisha Bala Muhammed, the First Lady of Bauchi state and the Association’s Matron, highlighted that crime exists in every tribe and advised members to prioritize education for their children to reduce criminal activities. She urged all tribes to reject negative stereotypes and contribute positively to the nation’s growth.

Representing Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state, James Thomas, Chairman of Karu Local Government Area, assured the association of continuous support for their concerns affecting members.
