Nigerian-born boxer David Adeleye claimed the English heavyweight title with a stunning first-round knockout victory over Solomon Darces.
In just 80 seconds, Adeleye handed Darces his first professional defeat, marking an extraordinary return to the ring. This was his first fight since October of last year when he suffered a seventh-round stoppage loss to Fabio Wardley.

Under the guidance of new trainer Adam Booth, David showcased dominance from the opening bell. He controlled the jab exchanges and delivered a punishing right hand to Darces’ body before sealing the victory with a powerful left hook to the head.
The decisive punch which appeared to strike high on Darces’ head, caused him to stagger back into the ropes befors collapsing. Although the blow initially did not appear to have landed cleanly, replays confirmed that it disrupted Darces’ balance.
Refree Darren Sarginson intervened, declaring Adeleye the winner after observing Darces’ immediate difficulty recovering.
With this victory, the 28-year-old Adeleye now holds the English heavyweight crown, boasting an impressive 13-1 record.
