“Nigeria’s Trade Deficit Soars to N5.7 Trillion”

Nigeria experienced a trade deficit of N5.7 trillion in the second quarter of 2023, as reported in the Foreign Trade Statistics report released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Thursday.

During this period, Nigeria’s overall trade volume amounted to N12.7 trillion. Of this total, exports accounted for N7 trillion, while imports reached N5.7 trillion.
