Several Nollywood celebrities attended the funeral of actor Lekan Olatunji’s late wife, Omawumi, who passed away recently.
Lekan Olatunji took to Instagram on Thursday to share an emotional tribute to his late wife, expressing how she had taught him to draw closer to God and how he would always love her. He did not disclose the cause of her death.
In his post, he wrote, “You accepted me as I was 16 years ago… You taught me how to draw closer to God and stay focused… You promised to take good care of my kids, which you did… I trust in God and you to take care of my kids for me because of my health… Omowunmi Ifedolapo Omolabake Olatunji, please keep an eye on us because I am very weak.”
A video circulating on social media showed the actor’s colleagues, including Odunlade Adekola, Arijan, Owolabi Ajasa, Olaiya Igwe, Mr. Latin, and Wale Sanusi, attending the ceremony to pay their final respects to Lekan Olatunji’s wife. Family and friends were also present to support the actor as his wife was laid to rest.
