Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, has expressed support for Lagos-based NYSC member Ushie Uguamaye, popularly known as Raye, after her viral video criticizing the country’s economic crisis.
Raye gained attention after condemning the worsening economic situation and calling President Tinubu a “terrible leader.” Following her remarks, she was reportedly summoned by NYSC officials for questioning.
Reacting to the controversy, Ezekwesili defended Raye, stating that her words reflect the frustrations of many Nigerians. She praised the corps member’s courage, emphasizing that demanding accountability from leaders is a fundamental right of every citizen.
