The organizers of the recent #EndBadGovernance protests, which disrupted economic activities across Nigeria, are preparing for another round of nationwide demonstrations in October. Former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore confirmed the upcoming protests, which aim to push for demands that were not addressed during the August protests.
The August protests, sparked by worsening economic conditions, turned violent and resulted in the deaths of 17 participants, with over 1,135 arrests across the country. The planned October protests, dubbed #FearlessInOctober, will focus on issues like the removal of the fuel subsidy, high cost of living, and other key demands that organizers feel have been ignored by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Sowore emphasized that these upcoming demonstrations will be more prolonged and intense than those in August, as organizers continue to push for meaningful changes in governance.
