Chief Victor Bala Kona, a prominent figure within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has reportedly passed away. On the morning of Sunday, August 27, 2023, Bala Kona succumbed to his illness in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The departed was formerly the chairman of the PDP in Taraba State, before his recent passing. The Acting chairman of the party, Alhaji Inuwa Bakari, confirmed his death, attributing it to a prolonged ailment.
Bala Kona had sought medical treatment abroad, yet he was eventually brought back to Nigeria, where he ultimately passed away.
Describing his demise as a sorrowful surprise for the party, Bakari remarked that the PDP would undeniably feel the absence of Bala Kona’s leadership, political expertise, and exceptional mobilization abilities.
As of now, Bakari, who was present in Abuja when Bala Kona passed away, stated that the details regarding his funeral arrangements would be disclosed following consultations with the family.
