Pastor Ashimolowo’s Mega Crusade in Lagos for Community Support

The founder and Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre, Matthew Ashimolowo, has announced a six-day mega crusade in the Ikorodu area of Lagos through the church’s Christ Compassion to the Rural World Foundation. The event, scheduled from November 6 to 11, will offer various forms of support to the community.

During the crusade, the church will provide free surgeries for 200 to 300 patients and dispense drugs worth N70 million. Additionally, loads of relief materials will be distributed to residents in the area.

Pastor Ashimolowo outlined the various aspects of the crusade, including outpatient surgeries, pre-surgical screening, relief material distribution, a pastors’ seminar, and a medical outreach event.

  • Outpatient Surgeries: The church plans to conduct 200 to 300 outpatient surgeries over the six-day period, with a team of doctors and support staff working from 8 am to 8 pm daily.
  • Relief Material Distribution: The church will distribute 75,000 clothing items, 50,000 packs of rice, beans, and garri, 10,000 bottles of oil, 10,000 buckets, 24,000 exercise books for children, 30,000 bars of soap, and 10,000 packs of salt, among other items.
  • Pastors’ Seminar: A specialized pastors’ seminar will empower over 2,000 pastors, with the distribution of specialized bibles, books, and public address systems to village evangelists.
  • Medical Outreach: On the final day of the crusade, 100 medical professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and optometrists, will provide healthcare services and distribute medicines worth over N70 million. They will also offer 5,000 glasses, including reading glasses and frames.

In addition to the details of the crusade, Pastor Ashimolowo emphasized the importance of pastors keeping their political affiliations private to avoid creating divisions among church members who support different political parties.

This mega crusade underscores the church’s commitment to making a positive impact on the community, especially in terms of healthcare, relief aid, and spiritual empowerment.
