Friday Agbom, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, has officially left his party to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Agbom’s defection occurred during a courtesy visit to Chinedu Ogah, the representative of Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, at his residence in Abakaliki. The former PDP chairman, accompanied by party stakeholders and supporters, congratulated Ogah on his resounding victory in the recent election.
Agbom explained that their decision to align with the ruling party was influenced by the impressive performance of Governor Francis Nwifuru in Ebonyi State and the progressive policies and programs of President Bola Tinubu.
He emphasized the need for young individuals to join the party and contribute to the development of a strong society while working towards the progress and success of the APC at all levels. Agbom highlighted that the current government prioritizes youth involvement and stressed the importance of nurturing talent for effective leadership in Nigeria.
During the visit, other notable individuals present included Dr. Ilang Donatus, the Ebonyi State Commissioner for Border, Peace and Conflict Resolution, and Chinedu Nwali, the Director General of Chinedu Ogah’s campaign team.
