Peter Obi Condemns Threats Against Nigerians Abroad.

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, has strongly condemned a recent death threat issued by a Canada-based woman against fellow Nigerians.

The woman, Amaka Patience Sunnberger, reportedly threatened to poison Yoruba and Benin individuals in Canada, expressing animosity towards Igbos. This threat was made during a virtual meeting on TikTok.

Obi, in a statement on his X account, denounced such divisive behavior and emphasized that ethnic and religious bigotry undermines Nigeria’s unity.

He highlighted that hate speech does not contribute to solving the country’s economic or social issues. Instead, Obi called for Nigerians to prioritize peace, love, and unity to address the nation’s challenges and work towards a more equitable future.
