Peter Obi Tells FG To Arrest Those Behind Call For Protest Against Ndigbo In Lagos

Peter Obi, has called on the federal government to arrest and prosecute the owner of the X handle who called for a protest against Ndigbo in Lagos.

Peter Obi warned that such a threat to us threatens the unity of Nigeria and is against our constitution.

He said the federal government and those in authority must show leadership and speak up against the divisive call for protest against Ndigbo in South West.

Recall that X handle, @lagospedia, called for a protest to evict Ndigbo living in Lagos and other South West states from August 10 – 20. The protest tagged ‘#Igbomustgo’ is yet to be condemned by the presidency.

“Immediate action should be taken to investigate, arrest, and prosecute those behind this heinous agenda, serving as a deterrent to others who might consider pursuing similar paths that threaten our national security and unity,”

Peter Obi urges Nigerians to unite against the divisive call. He advised citizens to champion unity, tolerance and understanding. He added that Nigeria’s future requires living and working harmoniously together.

“We can only overcome our national challenges if we act together as one people United under God,” Obi added in a statement on Friday.
