The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Comrade Philip Shaibu, has reportedly been denied access to his office at the Government House in Benin, the state capital. According to sources, the gate leading to his office was locked, and there was no one available to open it for him.
It is believed that his office has also been closed due to his relocation to a new office outside the Government House. The deputy governor reportedly waited for almost 30 minutes before leaving. The new office for the deputy governor is said to be located at No. 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue, in close proximity to the Government House.
This development comes after Shaibu withdrew a case he had filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja, seeking to halt his alleged impeachment by Governor Godwin Obaseki and the Edo State House of Assembly.
