Police Investigation into Mohbad’s Death – FPRO Reveals Plan

The Nigeria Police Force is set to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the late Nigerian artiste, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. The 27-year-old singer, who was a former signee of Naira Marley’s Marlian Records, passed away last Tuesday.

According to the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police will leave no stone unturned in their quest to unravel the truth about Mohbad’s death. He emphasized the need for a comprehensive investigation and assured that multiple avenues would be explored to get to the root of the matter and ensure justice is served.

Adejobi stressed that investigations should be flexible and open-minded, avoiding a stereotyped methodology. He noted that the ongoing investigation would involve a multi-faceted approach to achieve a thorough and accurate result.

Previously, the Lagos State Police Command had established a special investigative team tasked with probing Mohbad’s death. The team has been given a mandate to submit an interim report within two weeks. Their investigation will cover various aspects, including exhumation, autopsy, toxicology, histology, scene visits, medical reports, and statements from suspects and witnesses.

This commitment to a thorough and impartial investigation reflects the importance of upholding justice and accountability in cases of suspicious deaths, particularly those involving public figures like Mohbad.
