Police Raid IPOB Camp in Enugu, kill three

Three members of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra’s Eastern Security Network were killed in the state’s Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, according to the Enugu State Police Command on Friday.

In a statement released in Enugu, the command’s spokesperson, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, said that the thugs were killed on Thursday during a raid by a team of Police Special Forces and Operatives from the Igbo-Eze North Police Division on their camp in the Imufu area of the council.

He mentioned that the criminals were killed in a fight with the police and that they had firearms in their camp as well.

The statement stated that “67 live cartridges, military camouflage, fabrics of IPOB insignia, objects suspected to be amulets, four pump action guns, one locally made revolver gun, and pistol, as well as other incriminating exhibits were recovered.”

The criminal elements shot and killed two members of the Neighborhood Watch Group on July 21 at around 1am in Umuagama, a community in the Igbo-Eze North LGA, according to the Ndukwe, who also claimed that they had made several attempts to impose the unlawful sit-at-home order in some areas of the council.
