A chairman from Ikorodu, shared an account of the events that transpired in the midnight hours of September 12 in Ikorodu, shortly after Mohbad’s passing. According to his testimony, the late singer’s father initially intended to conduct the burial at midnight that same day, but the chairman intervened.
In his own words, which were communicated in the local dialect and later translated into English, he stated: “I did not permit them to proceed with the burial. They wanted to bring him for burial at midnight… He contacted me, but I initially declined, emphasizing that a midnight burial was not permissible here.”
