Renaissance Denies Reports of Gas Explosion in Rivers

Indigenous oil and gas company, Renaissance, has dismissed reports of a gas explosion at its Soku Gas Pipeline facility in Rivers State. This follows claims that an early morning blast had occurred at the site on Sunday.

In a statement, the company’s Communications Manager, Bamidele Odugbesan, clarified that there was no explosion or fire at the facility. He assured that operations were running smoothly with all safety protocols in place.

Renaissance urged the media and public to verify information before spreading unconfirmed reports, emphasizing that false claims could cause unnecessary panic.
