Nigerian music sensation, Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy of the Psquare fame, has voiced his frustration over the dire economic challenges in the country, particularly the skyrocketing prices of petroleum products.
The artist, renowned for hits like “Reason With Me,” expressed his exasperation, revealing that several years ago, he bought his first car for a mere N120,000. In a stark contrast, he disclosed that he now spends a staggering N3 million monthly on purchasing diesel.
Taking to his Instagram story, Rudeboy didn’t mince words as he characterized the current economic situation as “total madness.” He also conveyed his deep sympathy for the hardships faced by the less privileged in the country.
His message read, “I bought my first car for 120k naira years back, and I was very proud of that… Now I spend 3m naira on diesel for just a month… Total madness. Only God knows what a common man is going through.”
The artist’s candid reflection echoes the concerns of many Nigerians grappling with the impact of rising fuel prices and the broader economic challenges facing the nation.
