Nigerian artist Michael Adeayo Olayinka, widely known as Ruger, narrowly avoided the conflict in Israel following his performance there. He reassured his fans and supporters about his safety through an Instagram post after news broke of the attack. Ruger mentioned that the war began shortly after he and his team departed from Tel Aviv, Israel.
He appealed for global peace and expressed his thoughts, love, and prayers for the innocent bystanders affected by the conflict. Ruger urged his followers to pray for Israel as well. His caption on the post read, “Israel is at war now and it’s very sad. It started as soon as I and my team took off from Tel Aviv to head back home. So guys !!! I really appreciate your concern I’m safe. But please we need peace in the world right now!!! We don’t want innocent people dying we just want to LIVE AND LOVE #prayforisrael. LOVE YOU O.”
The attack on Israel occurred shortly after Ruger’s performance, and he had expressed gratitude to his fans for their love and support during his visit. He acknowledged the rarity of receiving such love in Israel and appreciated it. He also mentioned that he has received more love, respect, and recognition outside of his home country.
