Seun Kuti: Nigerian Pastor Can’t Perform Miracle

In the wake of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) documentary exposing alleged misconduct by late Pastor TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Afrobeat sensation Seun Kuti has made bold statements regarding the authenticity of miracles performed by Nigerian pastors.

Seun Kuti, in a video shared on his Instagram page, vehemently expressed his skepticism about the legitimacy of miracles performed by pastors in Nigeria. He addressed the recent BBC documentary that shed light on allegations of rape, assault, manipulation, and orchestrated miracles attributed to the late TB Joshua.

In the video, Seun Kuti claimed that no pastor in Nigeria has ever performed a genuine miracle, stating that they are all engaged in fakery. He compared them to ordinary individuals using the church as a cover for their questionable actions. The Afrobeat singer criticized the entire spectrum of General Overseers, suggesting that they are all guilty of offenses similar to those brought against TB Joshua by the BBC.

Seun Kuti’s remarks reflect a growing sentiment of skepticism and disillusionment towards some religious leaders in Nigeria. The controversy surrounding TB Joshua, who passed away in June 2021 at the age of 57, has sparked renewed discussions about the credibility of miracle claims within the country’s religious landscape.
