Shekarau slams Ganduje for inviting Kwankwaso, Gov Yusuf to join APC

Ibrahim Shekarau, a former governor of Kano State, has criticized the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje, for inviting Governor Abba Yusuf and presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso, to join the APC.

Shekarau referred to it as an unnecessary action.
Ganduje encouraged Kwankwaso and Governor Yusuf to abandon the NNPP in favor of the APC during a stakeholder conference last week.

Shekarau reacted, saying Ganduje should have fought for peaceful coexistence in Kano State.
According to a statement issued by Shekarau, “My brother, Ganduje, came to Kano and invited the governor, Kwankwaso, and others to join the APC. For me, that is not necessary.

“What he should have done was to call on the people of Kano to remain peaceful, regardless of who is in charge, now that the case is ended.

“Whether you offend them or not, whether they know how or not, they hold the power. Whatever it is, it will come to be. Eight years are just like tomorrow.

“I completed eight years and added 12 to 13 years ahead. We leave wherever we are if we do not see or believe that justice will be done. That is the foundation of leadership or association.
