“Sowore Claims Possession of Tape Showing Kwara CP’s Dislike for Tani Olohun”

In a dramatic revelation, Omoyele Sowore, a prominent human rights activist and the driving force behind Saharareporters, has unveiled a compelling audio clip. This recording allegedly captures Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Ebunoluwa Adelesi, making inflammatory comments about Isese activist Adegbola Abdulazeez, widely known as Tani Olorun.

During an exclusive interview with Findwhosabi online on Tuesday, Sowore boldly stated, “I possess a recorded conversation where the Kwara State police commissioner openly expressed her animosity towards Tani Olohu.” The former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress revealed his possession of this crucial piece of evidence.

Adegbola is currently facing trial for alleged defamation of traditional and religious figures within Kwara State.

Sowore is a staunch advocate for freedom—of expression, thoughts, and worship. He delved into Tani Olorun’s case, hinting at a troubling narrative of abduction across state borders for an expedited court appearance.

Sowore accused the police commissioner of being entwined with individuals who aimed to stifle Tani Olorun’s authentic voice. He also issued a warning about possible constraints on Isese worshippers’ activities in Kwara State.

“I firmly stand against their unjust actions,” Sowore proclaimed, forcefully opposing the charges leveled against Tani Olorun.

Sowore’s claims extended to personal motives behind Adelesi’s actions. “There’s a personal vendetta against Tani Olohun,” he declared, suggesting an ulterior motive.

Sowore questioned the legality of Tani Olorun’s arrest and subsequent trial in a magistrate court, with an adjournment spanning 50 days for a bailable offense. He noted that Tani Olorun’s expressive platform, Facebook, enforces community rules and would have penalized him if warranted—something that didn’t occur.

In a pointed critique, Sowore highlighted a purported collusion between Muslim clerics and the police commissioner. He unveiled the commissioner’s alleged animosity towards Tani Olorun, captured in an incriminating phone conversation.

Sowore unveiled a questionable move by the authorities, invoking a jurisdictionally questionable warrant from an Upper Area Court to cross state boundaries for Tani Olorun’s arrest.

Sowore’s assertion of legal flaws was unequivocal: “An Upper Area Court doesn’t extend its jurisdiction across state lines.”

Sowore strongly demanded Adelesi’s removal, deeming her unfit for her role as the police commissioner.

Amid these allegations, Sowore unveiled a tape where Adelesi allegedly played an active role in a conspiracy to apprehend Tani Olorun.

Sowore raised the alarming issue of potential bias, pointing out that someone admitted to luring Tani Olorun into a trap through a Facebook post.

He argued against the likelihood of fair justice within a court lacking rightful jurisdiction and questioned the dated use of defamation charges, which he contended had been discredited decades ago.

Sowore’s powerful conclusion resonated: “Their abuse of power to suppress religious practice is unacceptable.” Standing united with Tani Olorun and the oppressed, Sowore’s resolve remains steadfast.
