Terrorists have reportedly abducted more than 30 farmers in the Chikuri community of Chikun Local Government Area in Kaduna State, Nigeria. The victims were kidnapped while working in Maikudi’s farms in the early hours of Saturday. Among the abducted individuals are the family members of a resident named Dogara Peter, who confirmed the incident.
Peter expressed concern about the lack of contact with the abductors and called on security agencies and the government to take action to ensure the safe return of the victims. He also mentioned that this was the third time members of his family had been kidnapped, causing severe economic hardship.
As of the time of reporting, the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, Mansir Hassan, had not responded to calls or messages seeking information about the incident. The situation underscores the ongoing security challenges faced by communities in various parts of Nigeria, particularly in the north, due to kidnappings and attacks by criminal elements.
