The Valentine Movie ‘Dead Serious’

In anticipation of the upcoming Valentine’s season, Nigerian audiences are in for a treat as the feature film “Dead Serious” gears up for its nationwide cinematic release on February 9, 2024.

Starring Sharon Ooja and comedian Sabinus, the movie explores a captivating romantic tale that unfolds amidst a web of emotions. The official trailer, released on Monday, January 22, 2024, gives a glimpse into the evolving and distinctive relationship between Ooja and Sabinus, hinting at a deepening connection.

A twist in the plot arises as Ooja’s on-screen father, portrayed by veteran actor Nkem Owoh, disapproves of Sabinus due to financial reasons. However, the complications don’t end there, as the father’s affluent and youthful boss, played by Deyemi Okanlawon, expresses romantic interest in Ooja, adding another layer of complexity to Sabinus’ pursuit of love.

The producers have labeled “Dead Serious” as “the wildest romantic comedy series of the year,” promising audiences a rollercoaster of laughter and heartwarming moments. In a statement, they expressed their dedication to delivering a side-splittingly funny and emotionally resonant romantic comedy for Valentine’s.

Directed by Moses Inwang and produced by David Rukeme, the film boasts a stellar cast, including Warri Girl, Lillian Afegbai, Funky Mallam, Emem Inwang, and Ryonne Razaq. As the nation eagerly awaits the release, “Dead Serious” promises to be a must-watch for those seeking a blend of humor, romance, and a touch of drama this Valentine’s season.
