Tinubu Swears in NPC Commissioners.

President Bola Tinubu has officially sworn in two commissioners from Ogun and Osun States to serve as members of the National Population Commission (NPC). The ceremony took place in the Council Chamber on Monday, just before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council meeting.

Hon. Fasuwa Johnson from Ogun State and Hon. Amidu Raheem from Osun State were sworn in during the brief ceremony, where their citations were read, and they took the oath of allegiance.

Present at the event were Vice President Kassim Shettima, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, cabinet ministers, and other government officials.

This appointment follows a successful 2-day management retreat held by the NPC in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom state, last week. The NPC plays a crucial role in collecting, collating, analyzing, and publishing data about the Nigerian people and economy.

Meanwhile, President Tinubu celebrated Nigerian mothers on Sunday, Mother’s Day 2024. In a personal statement, he hailed mothers as the fount of life, nurturers of growth, and champions of feats, emphasizing their unmatched sacrifices for families and the nation.

Tinubu extended his salutations to all mothers and women in Nigeria and worldwide, wishing them a Happy Mother’s Day.
