President Bola Tinubu is accused by 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential contender Atiku Abubakar of taking the All Progressives Congress (APC) blame game to a “new level.”
According to Atiku, Tinubu has increased the threat because APC administrations in the past have been habituated to assigning blame for the nation’s economic problems to the opposition.
The former vice president claimed that Tinubu was unprepared for leadership and hence did not foresee the impending economic disaster in the nation.
He pointed out that the President’s recent statement regarding Tinubu’s handling of the nation’s present crisis was “full of lamentations and a resort to blame game.” The ruling party has traveled this path before.
“It has become fashionable for every APC-led government to blame others, especially the opposition and external factors for Nigeria’s economic woes,” according to a portion of an Ibe statement. Presently, Tinubu is taking the blame game a step further by accusing his own party of mediocre work.
On the other hand, the data is overwhelming. The majority of Tinubu’s poor performance can be attributed to poor economic management by the leadership.
The persistent and frighteningly large-scale challenges Nigeria has in the areas of economics, social issues, politics, and security are all direct results of the APC-led government’s lack of leadership. A poorly prepared leadership, like Bola Tinubu’s inability to foresee approaching problems and constant slowness in responding.
