“Two Dead, Five Injured in Ondo Road Crash”

The Ondo State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has reported a tragic accident that occurred on Friday night in the Olokuta area along the Akure-Ondo road. According to Mr. Ezekiel SonAllah, the Sector Commander of FRSC in the state, the accident resulted in the loss of two lives and left five others injured.

The accident took place around 5:48 p.m. and involved a total of six male adults and one female adult. It was a collision between a Nissan Primera commercial vehicle with the registration FGB-96XA and a Honda Accord car with the registration MUS-834 AL.

The primary cause of the accident, as stated by the sector commander, was speeding. Tragically, two male adults lost their lives at the scene of the collision, while four male adults and one female adult sustained injuries.

The deceased individuals have been transferred to the Ondo State Specialist Hospital morgue in Akure, while the vehicles involved in the accident have been handed over to the police.

Mr. SonAllah used this unfortunate incident as an opportunity to remind motorists of the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations. He emphasized that anyone found violating these rules would be apprehended and subjected to legal action. This serves as a somber reminder of the critical need for responsible and cautious driving to prevent such tragic accidents on the roads.
