Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has fired back at Atiku Abubakar, saying it is too late for him to acquire the integrity he lacked from birth. Wike, through his media aide Lere Olayinka, said that no one knows Atiku’s character better than former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who once described him as untrustworthy.
Reacting to Atiku’s media office, which claimed character was the reason he was not chosen as running mate in 2023, The Federal Capital Territory Minister, aide dismissed the claim. He reminded Nigerians that Atiku disregarded the decision of his party’s committee when picking his running mate, proving his lack of integrity. He also referenced Obasanjo’s book, “My Watch,” where the former president accused Atiku of corruption, dishonesty, and selfishness.
Wike, known for his straightforward stance, made it clear that unlike Atiku, he does not pretend about his political positions. He insisted that Atiku should focus on being truthful, especially at his age, rather than desperately chasing power.
