Woman shot dead in Delta after N1 million ransom

In Tamigbe town in the Burutu LGA of Delta State, kidnappers killed 60-year-old Ebikabo-Ere Oyas Officer after receiving a N1 million ransom.

A source disclosed the unrest in Tamigbe town in the Burutu LGA is as a result of the actions of gunmen who are allegedly kidnappers.

The source said “They killed Ebikabo-Ere Oyas Officer, 60, after taking some money, they said. Her skull was shot to pieces. Her family learned of the horrific murder after paying a ransom, and they discovered her remains.

The state’s police spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, responded to a request for comment by saying, “The accused kidnappers collected N1m before they killed her. The police are actively looking for the alleged kidnappers.

I can tell you that authorities will keep looking for the woman’s killers until they are apprehended.

He continued, “Over 13 suspected kidnappers have been arrested and arraigned in court in the last few weeks in the state.”
