Wumi Toriola Fires Back at Interview Critics

Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has taken a stand against critics who have been lambasting her following a recent interview with her colleague Iyabo Ojo. In the interview on Iyabo Ojo TV, Toriola discussed her unconventional decision to have more children with her ex-husband rather than with other men.

Toriola, who is co-parenting their only child, Zion, with her ex-husband, asserted that they are successfully managing their co-parenting responsibilities.

Addressing the trolls in a now-deleted post, Toriola made it clear that she is not the typical public figure who will quietly endure criticism. She emphasized that while she sometimes chooses to ignore trolls, she is also human and reacts at times.

Her post read: “Sometimes, trolls just step on the wrong feet. I am not your everyday public figure. Sometimes, I ignore, other times I react… I am also human. Thank you for easing the pain. Thank you all and to the ‘fija folorun ja crew. I listened after 20 minutes. He has also apologized.”

In the caption, Wumi emphasized, “I am not your ‘mature’ public figure, I don’t drag it. Thank you, beautiful people, nobody will take your peace of mind.”

The actress, who got married in 2018, had previously shared that disputes over her ex-husband flaunting her celebrity status played a role in the breakdown of their marriage. The recent interview seems to have reignited discussions about her personal life, leading to online criticism. See the post [here].
