Yobe State Denies Approving New Minimum Wage

The Yobe State Government has denied making any announcements about approving a new minimum wage. Responding to ongoing rumors, the government clarified that it is still working on the matter and will issue an official statement once the process is complete.

Mamman Mohammed, the Director-General of Press and Media Affairs for the Yobe State Governor, addressed the issue on Thursday. He labeled a recent social media post claiming that a new minimum wage had been approved as false and misleading.

“The post lacked details and credibility, and even used a fake logo from Daily Trust newspaper, which has also disowned the content,” Mohammed stated. He called the post irresponsible and urged the public to ignore it, assuring that the government will provide accurate information in due time.
