Atiku Abubakar has said it is not yet time for celebration after emerging as the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress for the 2027 election.

Reacting to his victory, Atiku urged members of the party to remain united and focus on defeating the ruling All Progressives Congress in the next general election.

According to him, no contestant lost in the primary because all party members must work together to rescue Nigeria from corruption, incompetence and division.

Atiku also praised the ADC primary election committee for conducting what he described as peaceful, free and transparent primaries across the country.

The former Vice President thanked party leaders, stakeholders, volunteers and supporters for their commitment throughout the process.

He added that the real task now is preparing for the general election campaign and convincing Nigerians that the ADC can provide better leadership for the country.
