Nollywood actor Kolawole Ajeyemi has shown support for his wife, Toyin Abraham, after she was reportedly ignored by fellow actress Funke Akindele during a movie premiere.

A video from the event showed Toyin Abraham approaching Funke Akindele to greet her, but Funke looked away and did not respond. Toyin then moved on to greet Iyabo Ojo and other guests before leaving the scene.

Following the incident, Kolawole Ajeyemi took to Instagram to express love and appreciation for his wife.

He wrote: “Oluwatoyin Abraham aya mi 🤍 I love you @toyin_abraham thank you for always listening to me 👂 I know you want to talk but hmmmmmmm💔💔 Afi suru 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️ Thanks everyone God bless you all we love you.”

Toyin Abraham responded warmly to her husband’s message and expressed her love for him.

“Oshey Oko mi and I will always listen and obey you my small god. I love you forever 😍😍,” she wrote.

The exact reason behind the tension between the actresses has not been officially confirmed, although reports of past disagreements between them have circulated for years.

In 2024, Toyin Abraham spoke about how rumours helped fuel rivalry between them, creating unhealthy competition.

After the premiere event, both Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram.
