Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has reported receiving over 400 threats, including 200 explicit death threats, following remarks he made about Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi. Morka disclosed this during an interview with Arise News, attributing the threats to Obi’s interpretation of his earlier comments as a potential threat to Obi’s safety.
Morka clarified that his statement during a previous interview—suggesting Obi “manage whatever he gets” after crossing the line—was not intended as a threat. He described the accusations as unfounded, emphasizing that individuals misinterpreting his words have sent detailed, graphic threats against him and his family.
The APC spokesperson stated he has documented the threats and plans to submit them to law enforcement for investigation. He expressed confidence in the authorities’ ability to address the situation and called for an end to such targeted harassment.
