Agnes Forte, a visually impaired mother, has made a heartfelt appeal to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fayoade Adegoke, to intervene in the search for her missing one-year-old baby, Excel. The distraught mother raised the alarm about Excel’s disappearance on Tuesday, November 28, in the Akowonjo area of Lagos.

In a plea for help, Agnes Forte shared her anguish, emphasizing the emotional toll the situation has taken on her household. Due to her visual impairment, Agnes expressed the challenges she faces in actively participating in the search for her missing child.
Since reporting the incident to the police on the day of Excel’s disappearance, Agnes claims to have received limited assistance. She revealed that officers at the police station advised them to write a statement and have not provided any updates or support since then. Agnes also voiced concerns that the police may not be taking the case seriously due to their economic status.
Agnes Forte and her husband are now appealing directly to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, urging him to intervene and ensure a thorough investigation into the disappearance of their child.
The mother previously shared details about the circumstances surrounding Excel’s disappearance. The one-year-old was last seen playing with her stepsister, Joy, along the corridor of their apartment. Despite efforts to locate them, Agnes Forte has been unable to determine the whereabouts of her missing child.
The family’s plea for intervention underscores the urgency and importance of collaborative efforts between law enforcement and the community to resolve cases of missing persons and bring solace to distressed families.
