The Lagos State Government charged Afeez Gbadamosi, 38, with sexually abusing his two underage sons, who are between the ages of three and seven, on Tuesday before the Ikeja Sexual Offenses and Domestic Violence court.
Four counts of sexual assault and lewd behavior have been brought against Gbadamosi by the state.
Abimbola Abolade, the state’s prosecutor, informed the court that the incident took place between 2021 and 2022.
She said that the molestations happened in Ikorodu, Lagos State, in the Agric neighborhood of Iyanamuda.
Abolade testified before Justice Abiola Sholadoye that the defendant touched the boys’ anus with his finger to commit sexual assault.
She further claimed that Gbadamosi grabbed their genitalia, squeezed their bottoms, and forced them to watch him while he had sex with his wife.
The offenses violated Sections 261 and 264 of the Lagos State Criminal Law of 2015, according to the prosecutor.
The defendant, however, entered a not guilty plea to the accusations.
O.O. Oladipupo, the defendant’s attorney, pleaded with the court to give liberal bail to her client.
However, Justice Sholadoye mandated that the defendant be held at the Ikoyi Custodial Center till he can fulfill his bail requirements before adjourning the case.
She adjourned the trial date to November 20, 2023
